This one had the auto color adjustment to it...it actually washed out more...the other two are more true to the color.
I just love the colors of the batiks and taking time to pick out the parts of the fabric placement.
I tea dyed all the light fabrics for an antique look, and I also designed my own pantograph to quilt in the quilt, I couldn't find what I liked, so I just decided to design and draw out the quilting myself. I love how this quilt turned out.
Close up of the stars across the quilt, along with the designed myself star quilting.
I had a lady purchase the quilt top from me and paid me to finish quilting it. This quilt was so beautiful. The lady e-mailed me back and said the quilt sold for $1000! Wow!
Batik backing for the red, black and white quilt. Backside quilted in a red varigated also.
I have been wanting to make one of these quilts for quite awhile now...
I loved making this quilt. I did an all over "cursive" pattern, and lined up this all over design for the borders also. Queen sized
I actually did one last year, and had pieces to do another, so I put this together and used my new fancy-schmacy machine for cool applique.
This table topper resembles the Autumn pillow, but it different lay out of fabrics. Fabric is Vintage Stitches by Thimbleberries. Buttons sewed on.
Backside of Autumn pillow, it is "slip-on" so that the pillow can be changed out with the seasons.
I made this for my friend, Deb. She sent me special pumpkins this spring for my garden.
This quilt was made all my collection of breast cancer fabrics. I did scalloped edges on this (new technique for me) I appliqued all the flowers with my new to me machine. Butterflies in the borders, small stipple around the flowers to pop up the flowers. This quilt sold 1 day after I finished it.
I really like how this turned out...I haven't quilted it (May 2009) cuz I just don't know how I want to quilt it yet, it hasn't spoken to me how it should be quilted. I am thinking I will do a flannel backing though.
This one is so cute...how I wish I had a little girl to make quilts for! Already sold before I even finished!
It took me 70+ hours to piece and quilt this awesome one of a kind quilt! I am in love with it! And proud of myself...I learned prairie points binding!
Red is my new purple right now. If you look closely, you can see my matching valance I made to go with the whole room look.
I decided to keep the quilt for my bedroom, made pillow shams, toss pillows, coasters, matching quilted valance, bedskirt and even worked on some matching lamp shades...(shhh...don't tell Chris that I kinda can be domesticated....)
